A scan that could save your life

Why Lung Screens are Important

Lung cancer is leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Australia, causing an estimated 8,900 deaths in 2024.

One of the major reasons lung cancer is so deadly is that it is often found in the later stages of the disease when there are fewer treatment options.

This is why lung cancer screening is so important.

Many lung cancers can be asymptomatic for a long period, meaning that while you may think you’re healthy, you may not be.

Our partners

How can we help

Our partnerships with radiology providers bring lung cancer screening to you, providing expert radiology support to help you and your doctor detect lung cancers earlier and find the best treatment for you.

Our radiology partners have all invested in the latest low-dose chest CT technology and techniques to ensure the lowest possible radiation dose with the highest possible accuracy.

How to access the

National Lung Cancer Screening Program

The National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) is a new screening program developed by the Australian Government’s Department of Health and Aged Care.

If you are eligible and agree to participate in the NLCSP, your low-dose chest scan will be bulk-billed.

As part of this program, you will be entered into the National Cancer Screening Register (NCSR). If no cancer is detected in your scan, the NCSR will let you know, and you will be contacted in 2 years to screen again.

To take part in the National Lung Cancer Screening Program you will need to see your doctor for an assessment and get a referral for a low-dose CT before making your appointment with us.
